THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our FIRST ANNUAL Tri-M DAY!
Please see a special message below from Dr. Tim, who met with us virtually to wrap up the day.
Greetings, SPONSORS and TRI-M MEMBERS!
Thank you the invitation to share a few thoughts about the importance of LEADERSHIP as it relates to any-and-all aspects of LIFE! As shared, EVERYTHING *you* are learning about in terms of leadership can be adapted immediately to the day’s agenda on all personal and professional responsibilities that we face along life’s journey. You are investing in the most important thing in your life: YOUR FUTURE. I *CONGRATULATE* you countless times over.
I applaud the teachers/sponsors for taking on the extra efforts needed to create and guide/counsel a Tri-M organization within your school. Quite clearly, you are the benefactors of a group of FUTURISTIC-THINKING teachers/mentors/directors who have your welfare at the forefront of their decision-making; BRAVO!
And, of course, THANK YOU and CONGRATS! to all the student members who realize the immeasurable value of going the extra mile and what it means to their destinations of tomorrow. Please allow me to reinforce the importance of ONE’S ATTITUDE as it relates to each aspect of life’s journey. The following Charles Swindoll quote is the foundation of every effective leader’s philosophical mantra:
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. ATTITUDE, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say, or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company . . . a church . . . a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the ATTITUDE we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past . . . we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our ATTITUDE . . . I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you . . . we are in charge of our ATTITUDES.”
I have pasted-in a copy of: CLASSIC LEADERSHIP. It is a twelve week student leadership curriculum that is jam-packed with a vault of tried-and-true leadership tools certain to advance your leadership skills and understandings.
Hopefully, our paths will cross along the way; in the meantime continue to set the bar MIGHTY HIGH for all of us.
…let the music begin…

Knowledge alone cannot give rise to value. It is only when knowledge is guided by wisdom that value is created. The font of wisdom is found in the following elements: an overarching sense of purpose, a powerful sense of responsibility and, finally, the compassionate desire to contribute to the welfare of humankind.
The essence of education is this process whereby one person’s character inspires another. Once children feel that their teachers are genuinely concerned for their individual welfare, they will begin to trust them and open up to them.
