STRATFORD SISTER CITIES CHORUS POSITION AVAILABLE FOR MUSIC DIRECTOR

• Individual will be directing a volunteer, multi-generational, mixed voice community
ensemble. Music selections encompass various genres of music. Music selection is
determined between an established Music Committee and the Chorus Director.

• Our Chorus is open to all who like to sing and has a spirit of inclusiveness.

• Size of Chorus: Approximately 35-45 members

• Rehearsals are on Monday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 at Stratford High School or the
Baldwin Senior Center in Stratford – both night and location can be negotiable

• 2 Semesters – Sept (Mon. after Labor Day) to December (2nd or 3rd week) and
January (Mon after New Years) to June (1st Monday only) – Summers off

• 2 weeks off December to January and no rehearsals on Monday holidays

• 2 major concerts per year – one in January usually at the Stratford Library and a final
larger paid concert in June. Often a smaller December Concert in the Town Hall
Chambers and another in March or April – Mosaic Home or sometimes another Town
Library.

• Paid position – $100 per rehearsal and $150 per Performance (also Negotiable)
