Each school may nominate up to 3 students in grades 5-6 per ensemble for the Elementary Honors Festival. The festival is a full-day event that includes rehearsals under regionally and nationally recognized conductors, sectionals, lunch with many new fellow musicians, and culminates in a concert to share all they have put together that day. Students receive a festival T-shirt and a video recording of the performance. This is an excellent first festival experience to honor and challenge the motivated, hard-working students in your ensembles, which is sure to get them excited about future festivals, including regional festivals and beyond!
Elementary Honors Festival
Teachers can nominate up to three students (band and orchestra) and four students (choir) per school they teach at. Students must be in 5th and 6th grade ONLY.
Please see the EHF Nomination Guidelines. These are not black-and-white requirements for student participation, but please keep them in mind when submitting nominations so that selected students have a positive experience and don’t feel stressed by the material.
