2025 NAfME Eastern Division Events

The Connecticut Music Educators Association is proud to host the 2025 National Association for Music Education Eastern Division Conference and Honors Ensemble Festival. These bi-annual event is hosted by different states through the northeastern United States. Connecticut is thrilled to welcome music educators, professionals, performers, students, and families to Hartford this April 24-27, 2025 for what is sure to be an amazing weekend of new learning and performances.

The Eastern Division Conference will be held April 24-26, 2025 at the Connecticut Convention Center in beautiful downtown Hartford! Conference goers can look forward to:

Inspiring sessions on relevant topics in music education
Performances by student and professional ensembles
A research component for collegiates and professors in the field of music education
A Tri-M Music Honor Society component for middle and high Tri-m students and their advisors/teachers
Exhibit hall featuring music industry vendors from all over

The Eastern Division Honors Ensembles Festival will be help April 24-27, 2025 in the surrounding Hartford area. All ensembles will conclude with a performance at the historic Bushnell Performing Arts Center located in Hartford. Eligible students MUST be in grades 11 or 12 and have participated (or have been selected as an alternate if applicable to their state) in their state MEA’s All-State Festival. The EXCEPTION to this is students applying for Modern Band, who must supply an AUDITION VIDEO with their application instead.

Applications open August 30, 2024
Applications close October 1, 2024
Ensemble Confirmations will be released on December 15, 2024
Modern Band and Jazz Band students rehearse April 24-26, 2025 with their concert occuring on April 26, 2025
Band, Mixed Chorus, Orchestra, and Treble Chorus rehearse April 24-27, 2025 with their concert occuring on April 27, 2025
