CONNECTICUT MUSIC EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION

Professional Resources

CMEA is committed to providing resources that support the professional goals of pre-service, new and veteran music educators. Professional development opportunities take place throughout the year from one day workshops with specific focus and a comprehensive, multi-day annual conference to more informal networking for members attending one of our several student events.

CMEA members may take advantage of our newest service, the PD Outreach Program. This is meant to assist teachers with bringing quality, relevant and affordable professional development workshop clinicians into their own school district. Check out our current list of available workshop topics. To help defray the cost even further, for those districts/schools of limited means, CMEA members may apply for one of a limited amount of subsidies

The CMEA NEWS magazine publishes informative articles on all areas of music education and provides insight into what’s happening in music classrooms in our state and beyond. Visit the job board to view teacher vacancies and the additional resources page for more materials, including the CMEA music library of ensemble repertoire from which members may borrow to use with their school ensembles.
