Western Region High School Festival

Audition Information

Audition Date:  November 11, 2023

Audition Location: West Hill High School

Audition Fee:  $22 (payments MUST be postmarked by 10/21/23)

Audition registration closes on October 13, 2023. Late registrations will not be accepted under any circumstance. 

For Teachers: A completed school association fee (SAF) form and payment must be received, and teachers’ individual CMEA/NAfME memberships must be current in order to register students for auditions.

Festival Information

Festival Date:  January 12-13, 2024 (snow date, January 19-20, 2024)

Festival Location: Greenwich High School

Festival Acceptance: by December 1, 2023

Festival Fee: $35 (Postmarked by 12/15/23)

FamilyID completion: by January 5, 2024

HARP Auditions: All MS and HS harp region auditions will take place together on one day at the Southern Region HS Auditions, on November 1 at Joseph A. Foran High School, Milford. Teachers should register harp students in their own regions as they do all other students. MS teachers please note that MS harp students must be registered on CTFest by October 23, in order to create the SRHS schedule.

CMEA Copyright Policy

CMEA expects all students participating in the audition process to abide by all copyright laws. Students must have an original piece of music, a digitally purchased copy w/receipt, a public domain copy, or perform from memory. With the exception of students performing from memory, students auditioning without an acceptable copy of music may be disqualified from festival participation.
