Membership Awards 2023
Know an outstanding arts administrator? Music educator? Emerging music educator? Nominate them for a CMEA Member Award! Read below for qualifications and descriptions of each award. Click here to fill out the nomination form. All nominations are due by Friday, March 10th.
- The CMEA Outstanding Emerging Music Educator Award is awarded to a promising music educator in Connecticut who has demonstrated excellence, dedication to their students, and perseverance thus far in their career.
- Eligibility:
- Must have completed at least one full academic year teaching music in the state of Connecticut but have no more than five years of experience.
- Be a current member of CMEA.
- Must be currently teaching music in the state of Connecticut during the 2022-2023 school year. Public and private school educators are all eligible.
- Eligibility:
- The CMEA Outstanding Music Educator Award is awarded to a music educator in Connecticut who has demonstrated excellence and dedication to their students in the field of music education.
- Eligibility
- Must have at least six years of experience teaching music in the state of Connecticut.
- Must be a current member of CMEA.
- Must be currently teaching music in the state of Connecticut during the 2022-2023 school year. Public school, private school, studio, and collegiate educators are all eligible.
- Eligibility
- The CMEA Outstanding Administrator Award is awarded to a school administrator, arts director, program director, or anyone in an arts administration role. This administrator has shown great support and guidance to the music educators they oversee.
- Eligibility:
- Must have completed one full academic year in their current position as administrator.
- Have at least one music educator they oversee be a member of CMEA.
- Must be currently employed as an administrator for the 2022-2023 school year.
- Eligibility:
