The CMEA Outstanding Emerging Music Educator Award is awarded to a promising music educator in Connecticut who has demonstrated excellence, dedication to their students, and perseverance thus far in their career.

Eligibility:

Nominees for this award:

• Must have completed at least one full academic year teaching music in the state of Connecticut, but have no more than five years of experience.
• Be a current member of CMEA.
• Must be currently teaching music in the state of Connecticut during the 2020-2021 school year.

Nomination Deadline is February 21, 2021
