CONNECTICUT MUSIC EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION

2025 Elementary Honors Festival

March 21, 2025

CMEA members may nominate four of their students who are in grades 5-6 for participation in one of three ensembles that make up the Elementary Honors Festival which is held at the annual In-Service Conference. Selected students and their teachers attend a full day festival which includes rehearsal and performance under regionally and nationally recognized conductors, sectionals, lunch with many new fellow musicians,  and culminates with a concert to share all that they have put together that day. Students receive a festival tee shirt and an mp3 recording of the performance. This is an excellent first festival experience to honor and challenge the motivated, hard-working students in your ensembles that is sure to get them excited for future festivals such as regional festivals and beyond!
